Community Guidelines
Last updated June 14, 2026
Orbit is about real people making real plans and actually showing up — these guidelines keep it welcoming and safe for everyone.
Orbit exists to help people host and join local, in-person hangouts — sports, coffee, games, and everything in between. The whole point is real connection, so we ask everyone to help keep the community genuine, safe, and kind. Here is what we expect.
Be Real
Use an authentic profile that represents the real you. When you RSVP to a hangout, plan to show up. Things come up, and that's okay — but don't make a habit of flaking. Other people are counting on you to be there.
Be Safe
Meet in public places, especially when you're meeting someone for the first time. Look out for yourself and for one another. Do not bring weapons or organize unsafe activities. If something feels off, trust your instincts and remove yourself from the situation.
Be Kind
Treat everyone with respect. There is no place on Orbit for harassment, hate speech, bullying, discrimination, or unwanted advances. A welcoming community is everyone's responsibility.
Keep It Legal
Don't use Orbit for illegal activities. Do not provide alcohol or other substances to minors. Always follow the laws that apply where your hangout takes place.
No Spam or Solicitation
Orbit is for hangouts, not marketing. Don't use the app to advertise, recruit, solicit, sell products or services, or otherwise spam other members.
Host Responsibly
If you host, describe your hangout accurately so people know what they're signing up for, and create a welcoming environment for everyone who shows up. Good hosts make the whole community better.
Respect Privacy
Respect other people's privacy. Don't share someone else's personal information, photos, or messages without their consent.
Reporting and Enforcement
If you see something that breaks these guidelines, report it in the app or email us at hello@catalystapps.org. We review reports and may respond with a warning, removal of content, or suspension or permanent ban of an account, depending on the severity of the violation.
One Last Thing
Thanks for being part of Orbit. Show up, be good to each other, and help make your corner of the world a little more connected.
