The fastest way to reach the Orbit team is by email at hello@catalystapps.org. We read every message and aim to respond within two business days.

To help us resolve your issue quickly, please include:

• The email address associated with your Orbit account;
• Your device model and iOS version;
• The version of Orbit you're running, if you know it (iOS Settings → General → iPhone Storage → Orbit);
• A description of what happened, what you expected to happen, and a screenshot if you have one.

Account and Sign-In

Orbit accounts can be created with an email address and password, with Sign in with Apple, or with Google. You'll need an account to browse hangouts, since hangouts are shown based on where you are and who you're connected to.

Can't sign in? If you signed up with an email and password, make sure you've confirmed your email address — we send a confirmation link when you register. If you signed up with Apple or Google, use that same button to sign back in rather than the email form, since the two create separate accounts.

Didn't get the confirmation email? Check your spam folder first, then email us and we'll confirm the account manually.

Delete Your Account

You can request deletion of your Orbit account and its associated data at any time by emailing hello@catalystapps.org from the address on your account with the subject line "Delete my account." We process deletion requests within 30 days.

Deleting your account removes your profile, your hangouts, your friend connections, and your messages. This cannot be undone. Some records may be retained where we're required to keep them by law, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Location

Orbit asks for your location while you're using the app so it can show hangouts near you and place hangouts you create on the map. We request approximate location only, and we never track your location in the background.

If you declined the permission and want to turn it back on, open the iOS Settings app → Privacy & Security → Location Services → Orbit, and choose "While Using the App."

Notifications

Orbit sends notifications when someone joins your hangout, sends a message, or adds you as a friend. You can manage which notifications you receive under Profile → Notifications inside the app, and you can turn them off entirely in iOS Settings → Notifications → Orbit.

Reporting and Blocking

If someone is behaving in a way that breaks our Community Guidelines, you can report them directly in the app. Open the profile of the person or the hangout in question, tap the menu in the top corner, and choose Report. You can also block a user from the same menu, which hides their content from you and prevents them from contacting you. Blocked users are listed under Profile → Blocked Users, where you can unblock them at any time.

We review every report and take action on content that breaks our guidelines, which may include removing content or suspending accounts. If you believe you're in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.

Safety When Meeting Up

Orbit connects you with people you may not have met before. Meet in public places, tell a friend where you're going, arrange your own transportation, and trust your instincts — if something feels off, leave. Our Community Guidelines cover this in more detail.

Report a Bug or Request a Feature

We'd genuinely like to hear it. Email hello@catalystapps.org with "Bug" or "Feature request" in the subject line. Bug reports that include your device model, iOS version, and the steps that led to the problem are the ones we can fix fastest.

Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and how we use it. To request a copy of your data, correct inaccurate information, or ask a privacy question, email hello@catalystapps.org.

Requirements

Orbit requires iPhone or iPad running iOS 26.2 or later. Orbit is free to download and use, and contains no in-app purchases or subscriptions.
